Do air curtains run continuously?
Do air curtains run continuously? Air curtains don’t have to run all the time. In many shops and offices, the systems are linked to door switches, motion detectors, thermostats, timers or even the building’s management system so they are only on when needed.
If you’ve got a busy shop front or a loading bay where doors are open for ages, running the curtain all day during trading hours might be the way to go.
Please see our full range of commercial air curtains, which are available in ambient or heated versions and can cover doorways and entrances up to 4 metres high and 8 metres wide (this will vary depending on type, e.g., ambient or heated) here – Commercial air curtains
Or our industrial range which covers doors up to 8 metres for the ambient version and 7.5 metres for the heated versions in height. These units can also cover up to 16 metres in width when installed vertically on both sides of the entrance. Please see the following webpage for more details – Industrial air curtains
When energy efficiency counts, you’re usually best off with automatic control. This means the unit kicks in when the doorway is in use and steps down to a lower speed or turns off when the door is shut. That way you keep people comfortable without burning through electricity unnecessarily. Air curtains often come with controls that link them to the opening and closing of the door.
