Commercial ceiling heaters – Here at Flexiheat UK we produce ceiling mounted heaters, that save not only floor space, but also wall area too. These individual heating and cooling units are the perfect solution – from small heating and cooling units to large, and we are confident we can satisfy your building, shop, or store requirements. They are sturdy, compact, and versatile products that are suitable for installation in applications as retail outlets, offices, workshops, garages, shops, and warehouses or specific areas such as reception areas or other small areas.

The “Luna” is a stylish and functional unit that is suited for use in open or closed ceiling schemes in both the commercial and industrial sectors. The circular unit is intended to discharge directional heat or cold air towards the commercial spaces as needed, so always maintaining an enjoyable environment. The “Luna” range may be used up to 8-meter high ceilings with large heat coverage with it’s automatic 360-degree air supply nozzle.

We have developed high reliability, high specification commercial heaters which produce a higher thermal output, to provide heat via warm air or cold air via a chilled water system, at a given air volume and low noise level at a great price whilst saving floor space in commercial spaces.

Ceiling mounted heaters- 2 product ranges

The “Luna”, which has three model options , available as standard in two colours – white and black. This range will do up to 32.5 kW of Heating and 14.6 kW of Cooling capacity.

1.The Luna 2H – Heating only version – which has up to 32.5 kW (based on 70/50C flow and return- with an entering air temperature of 16C) warm air heat output , depending on the temperature of the hot water supplied, as the unit can handle up to 80C flow temperatures.

2.The Luna 2HC Heating and Cooling unit– which has  up to 32.5 kW warm air heat output (based on 70/50C flow and return- with an entering air temperature of 16C)  and up to 14.6 kW for the cooling output ( based on 7C /12C flow and returns – entering air temperature of 26C) , depending on the temperature of the water supplied. This unit is for a 2 pipe system.

3.The Luna 4HC Heating and Cooling unit– which has up to 10.8 kW warm air heat output (based on 70/50C flow and return- with an entering air temperature of 16C)  and up to 10.3 kW for the cooling output ( based on 7C /12C flow and returns – entering air temperature of 26C) , depending on the temperature of the water supplied. This unit is for a 4 pipe system.

The “FHUGCH” commercial heaters models -between 9 kW to 58 kW heat output (Four heaters) and 2.1 to 14 kW for the cooling output, again dependent on water temperature.

The Luna warm air heating units with a cooling option are intended for installation under ceilings, and extends the categories of heaters and cooling items produced by Flexiheat UK.

With a heat output of up to 32.5 kW depending on the water temperature entering the device, and for cooling 14.6 kW, also depending on the temperature of the chilled water. These ceiling mounted commercial heaters can be supplied to handle a hot water heating medium of up to 80 Degrees Celsius, and pressures up to 16 Bar. These fan heaters, produce warmth that is expelled from the ceiling downwards with the units powerful but quiet fan into your shop or store.

The “Luna” are characterized by modern design allowing them to be used in interiors of elegant decoration of form and are aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Their housing is made of high-quality ABS plastic in the form of a circle with intake grilles for the control of intake air, blowing direction and range. They utilize highly efficient EC fans and low speed fans equipped with rotational speed control as a standard which ensures particularly quiet operation.

They are intended for use in locations with the height of the ceiling does not exceeding 8 metres and they also require a minimum of 150 mm above the heater to the actual ceiling. Thus, they are often mounted into a recessed ceiling, or can be suspended from the ceiling.

The Luna heater includes:

• Highly-efficient axial EC fan; which makes the heaters extremely quiet in operation – from only 37 dB(A) to a maximum of 54 dB(A)on the highest speed, which makes this fan heater particularity suited to applications that require low noise levels such as library’s, restaurants, laboratories, dental surgeries, and health centres. As an example normal conversation is 60 dB(A) , a refrigerator humming is 40 dB(A)  for reference.
• Double-row heat exchanger; One for heating and one for cooling (on applicable units)
• Automatic 360-degree air supply nozzle; ensuring all its heat and /or chilled air delivery to the people or specific areas on site as required.

Commercial suspended ceiling heater or direct mounting to a high ceiling

The heater can be recessed mounted into a suspended ceiling making them a suspended ceiling heater or directly installed from the ceiling.

Please note when installing in a suspended ceiling there must be 15cm space available in the suspended ceiling void. Also, a ventilation grille should be used in the suspended ceiling to facilitate air circulation from the room.

Control options

The controller for these units, is an all-inclusive thermostat and controller which can control up to 31 devices. The controller can also be coupled up to an existing building management system using the Modbus protocol.

The FHUGCH  Range of Heating and Cooling Units – Ceiling Mounted Commercial / Industrial Size

This range is of ceiling mounted units is more industrial / commercial looking in appearance and has been developed to satisfy the larger load requirements of heating and cooling that some buildings require. There are two models within this range , both require a three phase 400 Volt electrical supply and can be mounted at a maximum height of 4 metres . There are two units produces and each one is available with one or two fans installed.

The ceiling mounted unit consists of:

• Finned heat exchanger – The exchangers are made of copper tubes with outer diameters of 10 mm and aluminium fins with a spacing of 2 mm
• Axial flow fans – One or two depending on the unit size. These units are 3 phase / 415 Volt powered
• Casing – A sturdy and rigid epoxy coated steel case
• Drain tray- In case of cooling the condensate is carried away under gravity via a drain tray to a drain. The heater be equipped with condensate pumps if so required

Automatic Controls for the FHUGCH and Brava 2 Ceiling mounted heating and Cooling Heaters

Both the Brava , and the FHUGCH fan heaters can be supplied with a full range of controls that complete the full package. You literally just have to supply the electrical cable and piping to the heater, everything else that you would require is included .

The controls consist of –

A room temperature control with RAB3 controller; This controller not only is a room thermostat, but also has a manual function selection for heating, cooling or ventilation, as well as a manual selectable three step fan speed switch.

ZSB Power supply and control box – These are a surface-mounted box, hermetically enclosed (equipped with main switch, over current switches, short-circuit switches, signal lamps) intended for operation and control of the automatic equipment components. All switch gear components are manufactured by leading manufacturer ‘s of electrical equipment and provide the highest reliability. Internal connections are completely covered and protected to guarantee safe maintenance and normal operation.

Other benefits of the Power Supply/Control Box include: large space to accommodate cable and terminals, high safety level, easy operation, servicing and maintenance and operator-friendly design. The size of the box depends on the number of connected fans; up to four devices can be connected to a single box.
